I often come to such circumstances frequently, thinking about something(often petty) and spend great deal of time ending up being wasted....DO YOU ALSO FACE THE SAME?
OVERTHINKING IS ACTUALLY DEFEATING YOU....YES!
We all have often come to this situation and know what overthinking actually is. From definition:“to think about something too much or for too long.” is overthinking. For psychiatrists it is the biggest cause for unhappiness.
Guys let me tell you a secret which worked for me.
let us break overthinking into 3 types..
1}when you are unable to analyse a situation and make a decision.
in this case take a paper and make 2 columns...one for IF and other for IF NOT...go for the idea with arguments that convince you.
2}when you are confused what to do next like the situation i mentioned above
just do not stop yourself, speak up, do what is right, then it depends on the collocutor to respond the way they like.
3}when you think you should have done it (some action) but you didn't.
Just make sure you do it the next time whenever you get an opportunity. FORGIVING YOURSELF IS GOOD.
But friends do not forget that thinking is not always overthinking.When you are thinking for a situation which is important for you, do not relate it to overthinking. SUCH THINKING IS ACTUALLY GREAT!
So how do you distinguish? the answer is simple...if you know that the issue you are thinking on is silly, you are wasting your energy on overthinking.
DO YOU KNOW??: OVERTHINKING IS NOT ALWAYS BAD. YES.
If you are overthinking on the problem then your mind invents more problems which even did not exist earlier. So start overthinking on solution!
IF YOU TO TRUST YOURSELF AND BE CONFIDENT WHENEVER YOU TAKE A DECISION, YOU CAN CHASE OVERTHINKING LIKE TOM CHASES JERRY.
